Early-aughts sitcom 8 Simple Rules is, alas, primarily known as “the one John Ritter was on when he, well, we miss him!”, and the first-season episode in which Jason Priestley and his Vancouvertucky accent take on the role of Carter Tibbits, race-car driver, has not aged well. Priestley is otherwise fine, but really, the only thing to recommend “Every Picture Tells A Story” is his fellow guest star Robert Guillaume, who puts everyone else who worked on this 21 interminable minutes of TV to shame with a single word hollered from offscreen.
