You can usually see why an unaired pilot was unaired; in the case of Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventures, it’s harder to say. There wasn’t a recasting, and it isn’t terrible — it isn’t GREAT, and it isn’t recognizably Star-verse-y, but it’s got a raffish energy that’s probably down to Savage Steve Holland’s co-writing credit, and Jamie Luner’s having fun.
